| FAQs:
Q:
Why would I need a consultant?
A: Health care is constantly evolving with new laws,
regulations, standards, documentation requirements, billing
changes, and more which makes it increasingly more difficult
for the working health care provider to stay current in and
comply with. Our job as consultants is to assist you in managing,
owning, expanding and operating within these health care guidelines
and business and tax laws by providing our expertise, products
and services; especially health care providers in private
practice.
Q:
What services and products do you provide?
A: Please visit our Consulting Services and Products
webpage for a list of what is available to you right now.
Q:
How much do you charge?
A: Our costs vary from specific prices for products
to hourly or flat fee costs for consulting services depending
on several different factors. Some of those include: type
of services required, location, size of clinic or work setting,
etc. We can determine the best pricing for you after we discuss
with you your particular needs.
Q:
Are your products current, updated and meet health care standards
or requirements?
A: We are consistently upgrading materials as necessary.
Some of our products are from affiliated vendors who also
update and send us their new products when appropriate. The
products that we host in our website are those we get the
most positive responses and feedback from and are our best
sellers. We have other products that we can resource you to
if your needs are different then those represented.
Q:
Why is your Policy and Procedure Manual so expensive?
A: The extensive Policy and Procedure Manual is comprehensive
and intended to meet health care standards and also work in
a variety of work settings. When you purchase the Manual,
you will receive a hard copy and diskettes which allows you
to customize the policies and procedures to your specific
setting. We also sell the Policies separately as we understand
that single owners with no employees may not need the whole
Manual or that many therapists may only need to upgrade their
existing Policy and Procedure Manual.
Q:
I have heard about HIPAA and privacy standards but could you
provide more information?
A: Please visit our References and Links for direct
connection into the federal websites regarding information
about HIPAA. HIPAA stands for Health Insurance Portability
and Accountability Act (1996) which requires the federal government
to adopt national standards for electronic health care transactions.
Seven regulatory issues have been passed but only three of
those are presently being implemented. The Health Information
Privacy standard is required to be complied with by April
14, 2003. It involves promoting higher quality care by assuring
consumers that their personal health information will be protected
from inappropriate used and disclosures. We have created a
Privacy Statement that should be given to all your patients
starting immediately. We are also creating a Policy to assist
our providers in meeting the standards. Call us to obtain.
